(This is a sponsored review of Z Hostel Makati, Philippines.)
I always tell my friends that whenever I travel, I always make it a point to taste good food, meet new and interesting people, and have a safe and good night sleep. Hostels have been my favorite type of accommodation since they satisfy all my requirements for a good travel experience.
At the heart of Poblacion area where a lot of hostels in Makati are located is a place of good food, nice party, and comfortable sleep can all happen at the same time in the name of Z Hostel Makati.
Party Hostel in Manila: The Famous Z Hostel Roof Deck
So far, no other hostels in Makati area is a party hostel like the Z Hostel. Z Hostel Roof Deck is not a new place to me because I regularly visit this very nice place which is a well-known party hostel in Manila for both Filipinos and foreign backpackers. The Z Hostel roof deck will give you a nice view of Makati City skyline and the music being played by the DJs sets the mood for a chill party night.
I have to say that I have met the most amazing set of friends I have right now here at Z Hostel Roof Deck! 🙂 Recently, I am lucky enough to have also experienced eating at the Z Hostel Makati Café and staying in one of its dorm rooms.
Apologies if I took morning photos of Z Hostel Roof Deck. I was thinking you might wanna see it clearly. 🙂
The process was an easy breezy one. You will be welcomed by the security personnel and will be guided at the reception area. If you have an online reservation, checking in will take even faster. You will be provided your keycard and towel and you can opt to purchase an RFID and load it so that you can use it to buy food at the café or drinks at the roofdeck. Wi-fi password will also be provided as well as your room and bed assignment.
I stayed in a 4-bed mixed dormitory room with other guests. The room was spacious enough for 4 persons and it is not awkward to move around while surrounded by your roommates. Lampshades and electric sockets are provided in each bed so that you can opt to have a light of your own while the others are sleeping.
The bathroom is very clean and spacious. Like other hostels, no toiletries are provided here so you have to provide your own. Lockers are also available (but you have to provide your own padlock) as well as hooks to hang your towel, clothes, and other stuff.
The Common Area
The common area is also a good place to chill at Z Hostel Makati. I believe the wi-fi is fastest at this area so that you can use your gadgets to surf the internet and update your social media accounts. In the absence of laptops, the common area has computers which guests can use. The walls provide necessary information especially to foreign guests.
Boardgames and books are also available for borrowing. If you will notice, bamboo bicycles are present inside the Z Hostel lobby. It is because they offer tours using the bamboo bikes.
At the right side of the Z Hostel lobby is the café where complimentary breakfast is served from 7-10AM. The buffet breakfast consists of bread and spread, cereals, fruits, egg, and drinks.
Now, Z understands if you had to party all night at the roofdeck hence you had to catch more sleep and had to skip the buffet breakfast. They will still serve you with a late breakfast meal consisting of bread, spread, egg, and coffee. I opted to have a fresh milk for my drink, though.
No other hostels in Makati does it like Z Hostel Manila
My Z Experience in Makati, Philippines is an amazing one. All staff will surely be attending to your needs and they are nice enough in accommodating guests. I also made new friends and heard interesting stories from them which made my stay at Z more memorable.
Not all hostels in Makati serve breakfast like Z, so if you are a breakfast person, I definitely recommend Z Hostel as the place to be. The location of Z is also strategic compared to other hostels in Makati. For those who are planning to explore the city, Z is the place to be since it is very accessible from the major roads and several public utility vehicles pass by the area. It is indeed an awesome place to stay.
